About Amjo:
Wow! we're celebrating our tenth year!
Now we are celebrating our tenth anniversary. We opened our doors late in the
last millennium. We're now in several businesses. We began with facial sun lamps, later that year we added lights for
seasonal affective disorder or
winter depression and as our business developed we added specialized lights
for UVA, UVB and UVB Narrow Band UVB Home Phototherapy, these types of
lights are used primarily for the treatment of skin diseases such as
Psoriasis, Vitiligo and Eczema.
It wasn't until 2001 that we joined forces
with Curatronic, an Israeli firm specializing in this very unique field.
Amjo and Curatronic
It was April of 2001 when Chris Cane (Amjo's founder) received an email
from a guy in Israel asking if Amjo might be interested in selling Pulsed
Electromagnetic Therapy Equipment. The "guy" in Israel turned out to be the
founder of Curatronic and although we did not know it then, we did have a
lot in common.
To continue: Chris, that's me the webmaster and
founder did not have a clue what Pulsed Electromagnetic Therapy Equipment
was and being a skeptical technocrat I could not understand what this was.
The email was from Ben Philipson who had come across our
www.HomePhotoTherapy.com website and based on what he'd seen, he
believed we would be interested. I have to admit that I played "hard to get"
not because I was a skilled negotiator but because I was stalling for time
trying to figure out what this technology was and how beneficial it could
be.
Eventually Ben Philipson called me and we formed an almost
instantaneous bond and trust that has resulted in a true friendship and
a long term business relationship for PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Therapy
Equipment) but eventually for a stroke rehab, stroke therapy product line
created by Curatronic called the
Biomove. Amjo have a
separate website in support of the
Biomove called
www.BiomoveUSA.com.
Life is better with magnetism
It did not take me long to begin to see the advantages of PEMF technology over
that of the permanent magnet. A wealth of articles on Pulsing
Electromagnetic Field therapy (PEMF) technology is available. Excerpts from
some abstracts, articles and references on PEMF can be found on this
website. This information has been collected to indicate the benefits on the
use of pulsing electromagnetic field therapy and many are double blind,
placebo controlled studies.
We are fortunate We've been very fortunate. Amjo was started
without a business plan or even a hope, well maybe a hope!. As it turns out,
our business plan went something like this. Walk in one direction and if
your toe hurts, stop and turn. If you do this often enough you do get
through the maze alive or at least we did. Today we have about twelve
websites running. The main one at
www.AMJO.net. Our focus
has remained health oriented products to help people in many ways.
Thanks for reading! If you have an idea where you think we can do
business together. Call me, Chris Cane at 513-942-2770 or drop me an
email at
chris@cane.com.
